DETAILED INFORMATION

The E-Z Lift Adjustable Depth Cabinet Jack is three tools in one; for installing upper cabinets before or after base cabinets and counter tops are in place and as a dolly for moving cabinets from room to room. This tool can install 9" to 24" deep cabinets of any height. It is completely modular taking less than one minute to set up.

The cabinet support table has levelers in each corner for precisely leveling and plumbing uppers to compensate for an uneven floor. The base has four, 4" polyurethane swivel casters, two of them locking. There are two padded counter top protection channels that protect the counter top from being damaged when installing uppers after bases and counter tops are in place.

It is faster, easier and safer to install a bank of cabinets assembled together on the floor rather than one cabinet at a time. Also crown moulding can be attached to the cabinets before raising them. The profit on installations will be substantially greater, not to mention ending the difficulty of finding competent help. Also, no workers compensation insurance is needed. The tool will pay for itself quickly and also save wear and tear on the body.

A pair of temporary supports are needed when a run of upper cabinets are installed after bases and counter tops are in place. Each assembly uses a 23" long 2 x 6 for the base and a 23" long 2 x 8 for the top. They will look like an upside down "T" when assembled. The pictures on the right show the two assemblies. Install a row of Upper Cabinets prior to Lower Cabinets...
PLACE ASSEMBLED CABINETS IN FRONT OF WALL. TILT AND ROLL TOOL UNDER ASSEMBLY, MAKING SURE TOOL IS CENTERED AND BALANCED UNDER ASSEMBLY SO CABINETS ARE NOT LEANING TO ONE SIDE.
Lift one end and roll tool
under row of cabinets... 		MOVE THE ASSEMBLED CABINETS IN FRONT OF THE WALL WITH THE TOOL UNDERNEATH, WHERE THEY ARE TO BE INSTALLED. THE ASSEMBLY SHOULD BE APPROXIMATELY ONE INCH AWAY FROM THE WALL PRIOR TO RAISING THEM INTO POSITION

position cabinets... 		CAREFULLY RAISE THE ASSEMBLED CABINETS TO THE PROPER HEIGHT. MAKE SURE THE CABINETS ARE BALANCED ON THE TOOL AND FASTEN THEM TO THE WALL.

USE THE SAME METHOD FOR PLACING THE CABINETS ON THE TOOL BUT POSITION THE CABINETS IN FRONT OF THE INSTALLED BASE CABINETS INSTEAD OF IN FRONT OF THE WALL
Load uppers, position in front
of base cabinets and raise... 		PLACE TEMPORARY CABINET SUPPORTS ON TOP OF COUNTERTOP. RAISE CABINETS TO SAME HEIGHT AS SUPPORTS. CAREFULLY LIFT AND SLIDE ONE END OF CABINET ASSEMBLY ONTO ONE SUPPORT. DO THE SAME ON THE OTHER SIDE AND REMOVE TOOL.
...slide cabinets onto temporary
supports, one end at a time... 		LIFT THE COUNTERTOP CONFIGURED TOOL ONTO THE COUNTERTOP. RAISE ASSEMBLY TO PROPER HEIGHT (MAKE SURE CABINETS ARE BALANCED ON TOOL) FASTEN CABINETS TO WALL.
